Civility is, of course, a keystone of gentlemanly behaviour. Demanded in the Civil Service and the Public Service. But none more so than in China where contrary to a common held belief, the Chinese wait their turn in a line (with only the odd exception) However civility as a public service rather than as a public servant was pointed out to me whilst using the facilities at Gubei Water Town.
