Political expediency will do it every time ~ especially when the viability of the party is threatened. Goose and gander get what each deserves. However, there is no doubt that Gillard has done it backwards and in high heels. Hmmm... not sure about that analogy. It puts Kevvie as Fred Astaire...

Has Gillard don Rudd a favour ? I suspect so. It seems at present there is a sense of teflon about Kev now he is back. He doesn't own much of the debacle that has been the last three years of often poorly managed policy and outcomes (lets call it fallout) from ill deployed schemes. How IS your ceiling installation travelling. Sparking any interest????  Hmmm... choosing between KRudd and Abbott... we are indeed lucky. 

The poll bounce has been significant. Bring on the political discussion about policy and points of difference now that the media generated faux personality pissing competition is momentarily over.
