As a diver, you know that when you enter the ocean, you accept all the responsibility for what happens. Whilst we feel at home in the water and a wonderful sense of calm in wandering through the marine wonderland, there is no denying you are an alien in the water, mal adapted to the environment and reliant on some clever technology that delivers the essential oxygen to your body parts. Shark culling sucks and baiting sharks is wrong people. The top tier predators of the ocean actually don't like the taste of human. They are confused about who we are and the brain is primal when hungry. (Dolphins are waaaay smarter) The more the food chain changes, the weirder the behaviour may become. This is a snap I took whilst out at Osprey Reef well out into the Coral Sea beyond the Great Barrier Reef in September 2015. Other photos to follow... TBC.
